BATU CAVES INCREDIBLE!!!

The area....

Its been a long wait for all of us to decide the date, for a picnic like hang out at the cave area in Batu Caves..

Finally , on Saturday ,25th of August, the day we all eagerly waited for the trip to the cave arrived..
From morning its been a busy day for all of us....

So me and Subra went to Giant to buy some cooking stuffs,etc chicken, nuggets, sausages , sauces , oil . Then with Saravanan and Thayalan anney to buy some extra "stuff" needed for the trip..

Around 2.20 pm we were all waiting at the bottom of the cave, where there is a flight of stairs like structure built, with used tyres and hard soil inside and around it for a better grip to the curving structure and shape of the ancient 400 million old cave. We set up everything needed, and started to climb the tyre stairs.The stairs were designed to bridge the step climbers until the cave entrance vertically , with divided smaller segments, and steel cable was attached along to cope with during climbing. After 10 minutes of climbing, we arrived at the first opening , I can say , not a huge cave entrance, but a pretty much wider inside, where we decided to camp as this is our first trip to the cave. ( Dont want risk )

But I can tell you that, we were all pretty much amazed by the old rock structure, designs, the wall cushions, watermark on the rocks , which I believe took more than hundreds , thousands of years and might be more to form to that level of design, dark tunnels that channeling to same place we started climbing at first, kept all of us busy and we got used to the cave environment so fast and manage to learn some necessary steps to climb the rocks.

This site particularly , was used years ago by locals to search for small decorative stones. plants, herbs, bamboo, water, and so on...Recently , a recreational club from Wira Damai, start maintaining the place, but I believe that they failed miserably by looking at the leftovers right there at that area...

The cave site was abondoned by that recreational club few years back, with metal bars , plastics, building materials, and I can say that they really have some pretty much unfinished issues with the cave..So , we stepped in, voluntarily , cleaned up the place, pack all the thrashes and start seizing the place, take control of everything as though we own the place... Well, its a National Heritage area, acoording to cons; nothing wrong if we use the place for recreational purposes...So WE DID.... :))..

It rained heavily during the early hours of the day, so we were expecting wet soil, slippery rocks and so on, but unbelievably the place was so dry, and we were very comfortable sitting, lying down on the rocks, hanging out at cliff ,and surprisingly was not slippery.. So we managed to pull out a fun trip, even the cave we all, are in now, is not so high in altitude but the view and scenery of the nature were simply amazing...It was a dilemma for all of us , when we realise that all of us are in a cave, situated just 13 KM from Kuala Lumpur, and located in the middle of a vibrant city, . We didnt take any flight trip, didnt see any travel agents,didnt use any tour guide services, no long distance traveling , but we enjoyed and had fun there like we all are on our holidays. Simply no words to explain that feelings..

Cool breeze air kept all us fresh and that is something you cant get outside nowadays..

Thanks to Annadurai, our ex army bro, who led us to the difficult part and region of the cave, helped Poovan and Rozhen to chase away the cows.....(bottom of the cave)

And once again , have to mention it here...Sara , he made everyone laugh, the crazy stuffs he did at the cave, how intoxicated he was..(everyone was actually)

Its a great trip for all of us...

Looking forward for another great trip deep inside the cave..
